[Edlib] Updates to web databases, Cunningham Library

Dear subscribers to Ed-Lib

Just a note to let you know a couple of the Cunningham Library's
databases have been updated:


EdResearch Online
http://cunningham.acer.edu.au/dbtw-wpd/sample/edresearch.htm
72 new records for Australian journal articles - there are now 15583
articles in the database that can be purchased online for $22.00 and
dispatched to your email account. As well as the pay-per-view material,
the database also includes over 3000 articles from free-to-air
Australian education e-journals.


Education Research Theses (ERT)
http://www.acer.edu.au/library/theses.html
83 new records for theses - thanks to those libraries that are
responding to the call for theses. Details of new theses are welcome all
year round, email ert at acer.edu.au with questions and submissions.


Database of Research on International Education
http://aei.dest.gov.au/AEI/PublicationsAndResearch/ResearchDatabase/
102 new records on international education - there are now over 6550
records in DRIE, on all aspects of international/export/transnational
education and international students.


Australian Education Index
Informit are showcasing the AEI as their sample database of the month,
first in April and still there in June - and why not? It is a fine
example of the databases Informit provide. Visit
http://www.informit.com.au/sampledatabases.asp?sdb=true to enter your
details and have a play with the AEI.


In all, 709 new records were created for the Australian Education Index
for March, over 290 of them online documents. These records have been
dispatched to vendors for uploading into the various versions of the
AEI.


Also, ACER recently upgraded its website. Various parts, including the
Cunningham Library's pages, are still a work in progress. But the
Library page now includes a couple of links that will be of interest -
on the left hand side you will see a box entitled "Recent Educational
Research". Included here are links to our weekly list of new books on
display, a link to the online documents we have recently identified, and
a link to recently digitised theses. Hopefully these links are useful
ways of finding out about research publications of interest to you or
