Subject: [DIVISION] Position - Assistant Professor - Eastern Michigan University

A tenure track position is available beginning Fall 2007. The position
requires a Ph.D. in experimental or quantitative psychology. The
person will teach statistics and research design at both the graduate
and undergraduate levels. We seek an individual who can teach students
and assist faculty in the use of such things as HLM, SEM, additional
multivariate procedures and IRT. Ability to teach in the area of
program evaluation would make the applicant particularly attractive.
The applicant should demonstrate capability in: developing an empirical
research program involving students and facilitating undergraduate
Honor and masters theses and dissertation research; attracting external
funding; and engaging in service activities, especially advising
faculty and students on research design and statistical procedures.

The EMU Psychology Department has a Ph.D. program in clinical
psychology that is fully accredited by APA. The program is built on
existing M.S. programs in clinical and clinical behavioral psychology.
The doctoral program integrates the two perspectives, emphasizes the
scientist-practitioner training model, and also provides students with
backgrounds in organizational management and program development and

EMU enrolls approximately 24,000 students in over 100 programs. The
Psychology Department has approximately 600 undergraduate majors in
addition to its graduate programs. EMU offers an outstanding benefits
package and a competitive salary. The 23 full time faculty members are
active researchers with diverse interests who emphasize a teamwork-
mentorship model of clinical training. Faculty have access to research
assistance and institutional support. The EMU campus is located in the
Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor community, six miles from downtown Ann Arbor and 35
miles west of Detroit, MI and Windsor, Ontario. EMU is regularly
recognized by U.S. News and World Report for its diversity, and as "A
Best Midwestern College" by the Princeton Review's The Best Midwestern
Colleges: 150 Great Schools to Consider. We encourage women and
members of minority groups to consider this opportunity.

Forward a letter of interest, comprehensive vita/resume and letters
from three references to: (include appropriate Posting # F0721) Eastern
Michigan University, Academic Human Resources, 202 Boone Hall,
Ypsilanti, MI 48197. Informal inquiries may be sent to the Department
