[Rasch] Separation, G vs Strata, H

The formula for separation ,G, is the following. It is defined as the number of statistically different performance strata that the test can identify in the sample.
G = sqrt(Rel./(1-Rel.))

There is another similar concept called strata, H, with a similar definition and is computed as:
H = (4G + 1)/3
What is the difference between the two as they result in different indices?
Cheers
Anthony
