POSTDOCTORAL POSITION: A two-year postdoctoral research fellowship, with possible renewal for a third year, is available in the Psychometric Lab and the Culture and Emotion Lab at Wesleyan University. The postdoctoral fellow will work with Dr. Steven Stemler (steven.stemler at wesleyan.edu<mailto:steven.stemler at wesleyan.edu>) and Dr. Patricia M. Rodriguez Mosquera (prodriguezmo at wesleyan.edu<mailto:prodriguezmo at wesleyan.edu>) on the development and testing of sound measures of cognitive (e.g., social intelligence, intercultural literacy) and emotional processes (e.g., appraisals, coping) across cultures. We seek an outstanding candidate with a PhD in psychology or education and a strong background in quantitative research methods and assessment. There will be ample freedom for the postdoctoral fellow to pursue projects within the broad scope of cultural influences on cognitive and emotional processes. Fellows will also teach one undergraduate course per year in an area of the fellow's interest and mentor exceptional undergraduates involved in research. Wesleyan is a selective liberal arts institution with faculty engaged in well-funded and cutting edge research.
