The Department of Education wishes to appoint a Research Fellow in the Oxford University Centre for Educational Assessment (OUCEA). The successful candidate will contribute to the department’s international research profile and will benefit from career development opportunities through some limited teaching and supervision responsibilities.
The successful candidate will be expected to pursue an independent research programme in co-operation with colleagues in OUCEA. In addition to writing for publication, activities will include the submission of research proposals, providing support for research staff and higher degree students within the centre and some limited teaching. You will hold a doctorate in a relevant discipline and demonstrate a developing international research reputation with an excellent publication record in educational assessment. You will provide evidence of an intellectually strong and feasible research agenda that aligns with the work of OUCEA. You will therefore have sufficient specialist knowledge of aspects of the field of educational assessment research to be able to develop research projects and methodologies and contribute to the wider research community in the department. Postdoctoral research experience in education or a closely related field would be an advantage.
The post is full-time with a fixed-term contract for two years from 1 September 2012 or as soon as possible after that date (externally funded).
The post is based at the Department of Education in Oxford. The closing date for applications is midday on Friday 29 June 2012. Interviews will take place week commencing 16 July 2012..
